A/Capt Sydney Perry, M.C. M.M. of the 2nd Battalion, Royal West Surrey Regiment, 91st Brigade, 7th Division, was killed in action on 7th August 1918.

Just over a month later his wife in Yorkshire received the attached War Office letter, notifying her of the location of his grave. He was buried in Magna Boshi British Cemetery, Tresche Conca, Italy, and the grave is marked by a durable wooden cross, bearing his full particulars.
