Michael Dobbs

I have received the following enquiry from Canada:

I am currently working on an article entitled "Operation Magic Carpet, Manila Camp" which deals with the repatriation of British, British Commonwealth as well as Dutch liberated POWs, which came through Manila on their way home. I have several items from Canadian, Australian and British, I am trying to find some incoming postal history items to Manila for British as well as some photos of the British at this camp. Incoming and outgoing telegrams from the LPOWs. Anything which your members may feel may fit into my article, proper credit will be given if anyone has material which I may use.

If you would like to know more about this subject please refer to the following two websites:

1.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Magic_Carpet
2.  http://www.uscs.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/DS31_Operation-MagicCarpet.pdf

If anyone has any material as requested please let me know.

Thanks, Mike  :D
