Hello Members,

this is not a fieldpost envelope from a evacuated soldier, because to early. But it is an active service fieldpost without stamps and postage free.

I have got asks about this item.

1. It is from a soldier who wait to transport to France?
2. Is is a soldier from a Home Force?
3. When mustn´t pay the soldiers from the Home Force the postal rate?

This type of mail at this period is usually from personnel in Iceland or Norway, not BEF.

Hello Allistair,

the troops in Iceland and Norway used seperate FPO handstamps.

You find that the letter from the front comes from an evacuated soldiers from Norway or a soldier who will be laid to Iceland?

I have got two another items. One with paid metermark Southampton (18th June 1940) and a envelope with a normal Krag stamp Aldershot (30th May 1940) without postage rate.

Can you identify the post from BEF Soldiers on dates and towns? These are mostly in south britain?!
